A Beginning

This blog is an enigmatic platform of communication. On an evening, while it's raining, blustery and blowing a gale outside, the inhabitants of the Gillies st household often ponder, analyse and discuss the issues of today. Such action is usually done in front of the black box and often in utter desperation when confronted with the dwindling entertainment offerings of mainstream television. We then roll about naked covering ourselves in sultanas writhing our hips to Bruce Springsteen. This blog will document only part of this behavior, that is the part that is suitable for the sensitivities of the public sphere. What you will find within the confines of this modest little soap box is an exploration of ideas; sometimes enlightening, usually absurd, almost always entertaining. The authors of such utterances will be the three members of the household, each with our own unique perspectives. There may be guest writers, there may not be, this blog could be the savior of the media, journalistic and entertainment worlds... it probably wont be. Political correctness is optional, as are pants, and at all times times the Gillies Blog will be the epitomy of quality, dignity, thoughtfulness and absurdity.
